Orange is the new black

[:en]We have had a cushion-day at Signia Cruises.

Everything is going smoothly with the preparations before the take-off on Tuesday next week. A couple of days ago Kjell went and picked up the cushions we had made at Upholsterer Claes Ericson. They have really made a great job for us, both fast and nicely done. If you go to Sweden and want to get in touch with them here is their phone number: +4686429956.

But the color, why orange? Well, we thought that it would look smart to have the same color as there are on the bags and cushion in the boat. We will also have the same kind of bags in the van as there are in the boat. It´s going to look very smart. I also think it´s going to be very handy to be able to pack one bag ashore and just change it for the one in the boat. Of course this is supposed to be an adventure, but that doesn’t mean we can´t be a little lazy sometimes. Everything that is making everyday life easier is implemented right away and the rest is chucked in the bin. i know certain people that would say that we are very lazy (think wives). Some evenings the tv-couch i almost impossible to leave.

From behind. The support for the backrests are a bit crappy. But what the hell,  think there are some hardware stores in Europe if we get bored.

 

There is a new carpet on the floor. It´s going to very easy to clean out the interior of the van. We don´t want to have a lot of sand from Greece inside.

The bar is open. Wonder who is going to drive most of the time?

There is a limit for how much one can write about a couple of cushions, and that is here! Tuesday next week we are leaving for Uddevalla to measure ourselves against 199 other crews in the Bohusrace. Lets hope we are lucky with the weather and that we have figured out how to flush the toilet bucket.

 [:sv]Vi har haft en dyndag (inte dyngdag) på Signia Cruises.

Allt rullar på som det ska med de sista förberedelserna inför avresan på tisdag nästa vecka. I onsdags så kunde Kjelle hämta våra nya dynor som vi har låtit sy upp hos Bilekipering Claes Ericson. De har verkligen utfört ett toppenjobb åt oss, både snabbt och snyggt. Toppklass! Tyvärr så har de inte någon hemsida vi kan länka till, men vill ni få kontakt så finns de på Klockarvägen 8 i Upplands-Väsby och har telefon 08-6429956.

Men färgen då, varför orange? Ja, vi tänkte att det skulle se snyggt ut med samma färg som det är på väskorna och dynorna båten. Vi kommer även att ha två likadana väskor i bilen som det finns i båten. Det blir oerhört snitsigt. Tror även att det blir praktiskt att kunna packa en väska på land, och sen bara byta ut mot den som hänger i båten. Jag menar, nog för att det ska vara ett äventyr vår resa, men det betyder inte att vi inte är en lite lata ibland. Allt som kan underlätta vardagen införs genast och strulet åker ut direkt. Nu vet jag vissa personer som skulle säga att vi är väldigt lata (tänk fruar). En del kvällar är gropen i tv-soffan ett oöverstigligt hinder att kravla sig ur.

Vy bakifrån. Stöttorna till ryggstöden är väl sådär kanske, men det får duga. Jag tror det finns byggvaruhus i Europa om vi har tråkigt och vill modifiera lite.

 

Vi har skurit till en entrematta och lagt in på golvet. Kommer bli bra att kunna ta ut den och skaka bort skiten. Lär finnas sand i Grekland har jag hört.

Baren är tydligen öppen! Jag undrar vem av oss som kommer köra bilen mest?

 

Sängen är redo för ett provligg,

 

och där var han på plats.

 

Det finns en gräns för hur mycket det går att skriva om dynor, och den är här. Nu på tisdag så sticker vi till Uddevalla för att prova våra krafter mot 199 andra besättningar i Bohusracet. Får hoppas på tur med vädret, och att det går att spola i lilla toahinken.
